Title: Rihanna

The name of my piece is called Rihanna because its based on her and her beauty. I will use texture to create movement in the piece.

When creating this piece, I was practicing by drawing the features of the face and draw the tattoo. I decided to keep trying and draw more than one piece of the same girl to see what was better, but the pieces weren’t turning out right.

The idea of this piece was to make the piece look as real as possible and try to practice and get better at realism. It was better draw faces to challenge myself because it was the hardest for me but so far it is looking good.

My goal was to show Mrs. McIver my improvement from two years ago until now. I wanted to show how better I’ve gotten and how much better my piece look.

The final piece is not realistic all the way but, it is getting there. However, I am very satisfied with the result. This piece will influence me to keep trying and practicing on my drawing skills and make it look realistic.

Title: Billie Ellish

The piece is titled Billie Ellish and is based on the idea of the fact she’s popular and a lot of people love her, so I decided to do half and half with the pencil and crayons. In this piece, I used color to and contrast and value to create unity.

Before I started, I practiced by created four sketches. I then drew my piece larger and practiced with Crayola Crayons. I decided after trying them that pencil would probably be a better media to use for this piece on the other of the piece. I experimented with the crayons trying out various colors and techniques to find the best ones for this piece. I reviewed this piece after self- evaluations and peer input. I was able to see some of the mistakes I made and fixed those to improve the quality of my work.

The big idea of my piece is to show how using different medias to make a piece look good. I knew that it would be cool to use different medias on them especially on Billie because she’s a cool person so I thought this media would be cool to use on her.

My goal as an artist was to create a piece and use my creative abilities. I wanted to challenge myself by creating a piece in which I had to use lots of motivation and positive energy because I never, nor will I ever see in real life what my piece looked like. I also wanted to maintain a sense of realism because I was worried if it was too cartoonish even though people would still like it.
